San Francisco, through a lens over time

I found an interesting blog post (following the blogroll of David Sucher) that pointed to a great site comparing San Francisco in 1958 and 2003 using Hitchcock's movie Vertigo.

I'm with the original blog poster (Brent): a) My God, what a lot of work to re-create each shot, and b) Wow... You wouldn't think it, but San Francisco has a lot more trees now. One of the more obvious examples: This page, which is, as the author says, "Another example of maturing trees wiping out a spectacular view." (Although the park in question looks considerably more lush for it.)
