General update

Things have been moving on a few fronts, so here's a round-up:

* Saw my doc, and he OK'd me to return to work Tues the 14th. So, I've done that, and just finished my first week back at work, doing the graveyard shift (10p-8a).

* Saw my cardiologist on Thursday (16th), and he OK'd me for doing exercise up to what I can stand. :) Any fatigue I'm feeling is more a function of being out of shape than of the heart attack per se. I haven't really done anything on a regular basis since then (see first item), but I plan to. Among other things, there's an "express" version of the gym we're members of that I literally walk by between work and my garage.

* With the changes in diet (low-fat, low-cholesterol, low-sodium) I've already lost about 10 lbs.

* We're definitely going to Artcon in late-ish October.

* I've signed up for the Basic Broadcasting course at Bellevue Community College. This is the first necessary step to qualify to volunteer for a DJ slot at KBCS-FM. I'd like to do a show of music from Scandinavia -- which you'd think would have some resonance here in Seattle. :) I also think it'd be a good springboard into promoting community events, doing interviews, etc.

* Armondo's in Renton is very tasty. :)

Armando's looks good. If only it didn't mean a trip ti Renton...still, we might have to check it out.
Glad you're feeling better. Scary stuff.

Yay for being well enough to go back to work, and changing your diet already.

That's good news about your health! And the broadcasting course sounds fun.

You'll have to pardon this former Mercer Islander for being unable to comprehend anything in Renton being tasty, though. Things really have changed.
