As I was pulling apart an orange for a snack, I saw the tiny drop of juice. A little bit of patience, and I got this image in the golden light of the afternoon.

That's a great shot, and good title, too. Your patience was well spent.

Though I simply must comment that it looks remarkably like the Clementine tangerines I've been enjoying of late. Sir, I don't think it's an orange at all!

It's like an orange, only smaller... Of course you're right. It *is* a clementine. But while my love excels in many things, botany is not among them.

That's a good picture. The only distraction is the dark bit of the cutting board. At first I thought it was just the slant of the shadow, and couldn't figure out what that was catching my eye so much.

Then I realised it was the wood itself, and that resolved a lot of it, because as soon as I saw it was the wood, it stopped looking as though the light was travelling in two different directions.

I'd put a copy of that on my wall.
