We went to see An Inconvenient Truth on Friday night. Nothing anyone who's been aware of the topic would find new, but very well presented. In fact, I'd almost recommend it as a training video for what a PowerPoint-style presentation should look like.

Well, we weren't alone. Box Office Mojo had predicted that Inconvenient Truth wouldn't break a half-million of opening buisness, based on their forecast for June 2-4. That is, they didn't think it would make the Top Ten. And with only 77 screens, that was reasonable.

Here's what happened instead: 9th place, $1.3 million dollars, $17.3K/per screen -- the highest per screen of any title this weekend, and beating out a movie at #10 with 958 screens.

That should get a few people's attention, back at the studios.
