bradhicks just made a post about one of the most striking things to me about the Inauguration: the music. (And he has an embedded YouTube clip there) As I just replied to him in comments:

I've long said that I'd like to replace "Hail to the Chief" with Copland's "Appalachian Spring" arrangement of the tune. So when the quartet (Slavic Jewish, Chinese, African-American, and Latina -- E Pluribus Unum indeed) started playing, my jaw dropped a little. I swear, I thought to myself, "This really is an episode of The West Wing!"
