I was just reading the New York Times' review of Fever Pitch (by Manohla Dargis, whom I've called the most racist film critic in America, and who has called me "this jerk," but that's a story for another day)... and it mentions how the male lead is so much a Red Sox fan that he uses...

...wait for it, this is a Farrelly Bros. picture, after all...

New York Yankees toilet paper!

Aargh! Must have! For the good of the game!

So, I went Googling, and, um... well...

Damn. Ain't no such thing. Other than in other reviews of the movie.

Pity.

Yet another example of Amurrican business turning its back on ways to make money...

UPDATE: Just on an off chance, since not every saleable item has hit the web, I went to eBay to look. No Yankees toilet paper, alas. But there was a Yankees embroidered toilet paper cover that I'm sure Paul Fussell could use for an added chapter in a future edition of Class...

God, I would SO totally be buying Yankee's TP. What would be even better is if it had pictures of the players' faces on each sheet...so I could watch Jeter and A.Rod eat shit at the same time...

HAha, I'm so totally tasteless it boggles even my mind.

Yeah, the question might be where it would sell the best: New York City, or somewhere else?

You knew it wouldn't be available (no matter how much the world needs it) because the Yankees would have to allow the use of their trademark.

But, oh, the money they could make.

Thanks ever so! I too was looking for yankees a$$wipe on Google and eBay, to no avail. Says the middle-aged girl with the Red Sox logo proudly tattooed (in color, of course!) on her arm! How nice is it--the Red Sox achieve the Greatest Comeback in the History of Sports at the *very same time* the evilempire pulls off the Greatest CHOKE in the History of Sports, heh-heh-heh!!!

HEY--so Fallon IS a yankees fan. He sells himself, just for the money, playing a diehard Sox fan. HOW LOW IS THAT?!!!
