I'm partly just writing this to test out flickr's capabilities.

I still don't understand the fuss over flickr. The response time of the site feels slow to me, functions are labelled in ways that aren't helpful. It's graphically "clean", yes, but that's the best virtue I've found so far.

Anyway, this is a picture of Sarah the dog, from 2001-07-04. It's one of my first pictures with the Kodak DC4800 camera.

I didn't get it, either. However, now that I've started to use it, I can sort of see the appeal. (However, it helps if you like to look at *other* people's pictures; not just yours. A lot of it is the social aspect of finding and looking at other pictures via contacts or tags or pools.)

Also, Flickr is set up in such a way that other people can write tools for it. (I like the Colorpickr, personally - http://krazydad.com/colrpickr/)
