And is it just me, or is anyone else suprised Dubya hasn't recommended tax cuts as an immediate solution for all the food, water, and shelter problems in New Orleans? It's his domestic policy answer to everything else, after all...

Will Grover Norquist do? Today he sent a memo (PDF file (http://www.atr.org/content/pdf/2005/sep/090205ot-ggn_deathtax_memo.pdf)) to Senate members calling for the estate tax repeal to go ahead as scheduled, and finishes off by saying that this is "exactly what the residents of the Gulf Region need at this time to start the rebuilding process for their neighborhoods and more importantly for their lives."
