Scott McClellan, the press secretary for Los Amigos Arbusto, has decided to take a powder.

Presumably this is because, unlike Nixon's press secretary Ron Ziegler, he didn't have a Jungle Cruise gig to fall back on. So at least McClellan has found a bit more spine, and has decided to stop defending the indefensible.

There are some things you can't get a rat to do.

What makes you think this was McClellan's idea? NPR this morning implied that this is Bolton's reaction to Republican grumblings (the only kind of grumblings the administration will listen to, of course) about the way communications has been handled.
