Has anyone dealt with Blazing Auto, a used car dealer in Lynnwood who seems mostly to sell Volvos? Inquiring minds, etc. Thanks in advance.

Not by the sound of the guy on the phone, no. It reminds me of two things: 1) The In-Laws ("Flames! There are flames on my car!"), 2) Blazing Bagels, here in Redmond.

Me no help, obviously, but possibly this is sufficient justification to take an at least temporary subscription of wossherface's list, the peer-reviewing service that sometimes advertises on KUOW and specializes in customer reviews of local businesses?

Yeah, that's a possibility. I'm certainly in favor of the concept, as you know. Listening to the spiel, there's a lot of focus on contractors, although they mention they track lots of other fields as well (including a slice and dice of auto services).

The fee is $5.95/mo., with a one-time $10 "set-up fee". (more likely a cash-flow regulator. :)
