libertangoWhich is another way of saying, there was an election today in Sweden. The long-dominant Social Democrats are out, the Moderates are in, and Fredrik Reinfeldt is almost certainly the next Prime Minister. This brings Göran Persson's 10-year tenure as Prime Minister to a close. For those who can read Swedish, here's the story from Dagens Nyheter.
One can only think that today is the final harvest of the murder of Anna Lindh, who was Foreign Minister and most likely to be the next leader of the Social Democrats (and thus leading the party during this election) when she was stabbed on 9/11 2003.
