Cluetrain still chugging

Doc Searls, who was one of the co-authors of The Cluetrain Manifesto, has a great presentation online about blogging. It's presented as a series of slides, and while that link I just gave you is the Index page, you can click on the first slide and then keep clicking "Next".

Slide 12 ("Blogging is about writing") and slide 17 ("Blogs are journals") are the two crucial ones, to me. Doc does a good job, in his setup, as to why the metaphors we use about blogging/journaling matter, particularly when it comes to dealing with both the government and corporations.

A must read.

Unwired

For the first time in nearly a year, I'm using the notebook outside the house.

I'm in a local Redmond coffeehouse, Jerzy's, which has free Wifi with a $5.00 purchase. Not just Wifi, but the new 11g, 54 Mb/s fast connection.

Whee!!
