By way of Kevin Kelly comes an amazing piece of news: Moby has released a selection of his music free for use in indie, non-commercial films, or with an "easy" license for commercial projects, "...with any money that's generated being given to the humane society."

I'm with Mr. Kelly on this one. Here's a guy who really gets it. Because he's made it tremendously easier for film makers. "If you want to hear horror stories ask any filmmaker about their adventure in trying to secure music rights for a film. It is easier getting a copy of a band's bank statement."
