Money Money
Mar. 22nd, 2008 07:12 amThe February numbers are out for Presidential campaign contributions. Obama raised $55.5 million, and Clinton raised $34.5 million.
That gap is to be expected, since February was the Month of a Thousand Cuts for Clinton.
More interesting is McCain's number, which was $11 million.
That means Democratic candidates outraised Republicans at a ratio of nearly 9:1. That's truly eyebrow raising, especially since traditionally it's the Republicans that are the Party of Money. Looking forward to the general election, that's a very hopeful sign.
