This has been making the rounds (at Kottke, frex, which is where I saw it). People seem to be amused at the idea of dogs reacting in a manner described as "the uncanny valley." I'm not so sure, myself. I've seen dogs react in similar ways to similar stimuli that weren't tagged by people as dog-like.

But the remarkable thing, to me, is how much the dog called Isabel resembles Sarah.

I agree with you--those dogs don't think that's a dog. They're just trying to figure out what the heck it is.

Thanks for the video. I agree, those dogs don't see a dog. Perhaps they should worry, however, that a mech dog doesn't poop, chew things up, and demand treats and walks.
