Mar. 8th, 2003 02:27 am1. What was the last song you heard?
Right now, I'm playing Gramophone's album Gramophone. (warning: While that link goes to the band's website, they insist on taking over your browser briefly, and re-sizing it, which means you have to size it back, afterwards. Bad netiquette, bad!)
I especially like track 2, "Mr. T", a very interesting waltz. But then again, waltzes seem to be in a revival right now, if you do but listen for them. (Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris", Chris Cornell's "Can't Change Me", others)
2. What were the last two movies you saw?
Chicago about a week ago, and Quai des Orfèvres at the Varsity just on Tuesday.
3. What were the last three things you purchased?
Lessee... Two books tonight at Half Price in Bellevue, Native Peoples of the Northwest, and This Place On Earth. Hm... {checks Quicken} Before that, it looks like it was the movie tickets on Tuesday. Go figure.
4. What four things do you need to do this weekend?
Hm. Having gone to a school that goes to great pains about teaching the distinction between "need" and "want"... :)
But I guess I must go to the post office to look for my paycheck, and then deposit it. Dishes. Perhaps AAA in the ongoing long transition up here, and join. And probably tinker/study with my Win2K server under my desk for certification purposes.
5. Who are the last five people you talked to?
Ulrika (my wife). Rhonda, Kurt, Chase (co-workers). The counter folks at Zesto's, where we went to dinner tonight. Oh, and the clerk at Half Price Books, and the counter person at Cold Stone Creamery (I broke diet tonight to have the first ice cream I've had in months... but hey, easy enough to go back). And, oh yeah, d'oh! -- how about the fifty people I talk to on the phone every work day? (no exaggeration -- in fact, Thursday I set a new personal record, at 62 calls)
