One of the folks whose LJ I've been reading went and disabled comments on all their posts. Which I didn't even know one could do, though I'm not surprised.
On the other hand, if they fear so much the possibility of my commenting on their ideas they won't even allow it to happen... Well. Clearly it's time to read fewer LJs, and not impose my odious presence on their private chamber. {sounds of keys tapping as hal edits his "friends" list}
Having said that, though, I'm reminded of my friend John Hertz' injunction to spend more time praising the light than cursing the darkness. Not that you could tell from my current events posts, true, but that's because John is a better person than I.
But I was pleased to see in my mailbox last night a card from the Atelier 31 gallery in Pioneer Square announcing that
who_is_she is having a group show opening on Wednesday, 2 April, from 6pm-8pm. Seattlelites in the sound of my voice should go. (I can't because I have my SQL Server class that night. But still.)

Didn't know I was that blatantly myself.

I've had you on my friends list awhile back......
and then noticed today that you've added me.
Fascinating....
thanks for the promo
and make note of the fact that the gallery will also be open
(and I will be there ) on First Thursday from 6-8pm
and that the gallery is in Belltown (1st and Wall) ... not Pioneer Square.
if you make it... please introduce yourself.

You're not that blatantly yourself. Or, um, not in that sense, anyway.
What I mean is, a while back you answered an ad I had on... either polyamory.org, when it had personals, or www.polymatchmaker.com And I was able to work out who you were then. So when the card from Atelier 31 showed up, I recognized the name.
We've also had some criss-crossing comments on the posts of mutual virtual acquaintances.
But, as I say, I won't be there... I have a computer certification class that night.
