[livejournal.com profile] m_cobweb had a link she passed on recently, which was a web comic about a conflict between "Christians" and "pagans" this season. (I use the scare quotes because while the characters act somewhat like the stereotypes of those groups, neither behaves like out-and-out believers of either faith.) (NOTE WELL: The comic is Not Work Safe, as the jargon has it.)

It was amusing, enough so for me to want to see more by the artist. So, up the directory structure of the URL I went.

First, I read a a comic about a character named Delta. This is also Not Work Safe, as it's mostly told from the point-of-view of a nekkid computer-generated 3-D character lazing about... But again, for what it is, it's reasonably well done.

Then I looked at The Spiders.

Oh. My. God.

The comic is done with traditional drawing mostly. It's an alternate history about how the assault on Afghanistan could have gone. But it's got tremendous depth in the background and setting of the story, and the characters themselves are fascinating.

Recommended.
