What Liberal Media?
Oct. 19th, 2005 04:45 pmAn arrest warrant has been issued for Tom DeLay. From the story:
"A Texas court on Wednesday issued a warrant for former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's arrest, and set an initial $10,000 bail as a routine step before his first court appearance on conspiracy and state money laundering charges.Travis County court officials said DeLay was ordered to appear at the Fort Bend County, Texas, jail for booking, where he'd likely be fingerprinted and photographed."
But none of the big outlets are running with it -- not CNN, not the New York Times, not the Washington Post. All of them have small-type-size links to the AP feed for the story, and appear to be yawning.
Something in keep in mind next time one hears accusations of "liberal bias".
Hypothetical: How much coverage do you think this would be getting if it was Sen. Clinton, or Sen. Kennedy? DeLay's role in the House is/was far more powerful than either of those two Senators.
