New pic, new location

So...

Having heard the comment on Saturday that I have more hair than in the era of my usual default pic -- true enough -- yesterday I changed the default to one more recent.

But that one's.... enh. Dippy. I don't really like it.

So, last night, out comes the digital camera, and a short, four shot session in front of a mirror.

Which means my part is on the wrong side of my head, but hey, that's how I see it.

Anyway, I like this one much better.

The day was mostly spent moving from Bellevue to the north end of Seattle, up by 130th and Aurora. My new hosts, Alan & Janice, then had some friends over. We ate chinese take-away, watched Sam & Max (which I'd seen stills of, but never seen an episode), and then a Brit TV spy thing called The Sandbaggers.

I like the smile, too, which is part of why I've been reluctant to give that picture up. OTOH, my wife Ulrika took that shot, so I was free to just smile. This one, I was doing the self-portrait thang, so I had to concentrate a shade too much to smile well.

Oh, and, um, thanks. Which I should've said to begin with.
