After being gently reminded by seeing a photo of a cat from Lucy Huntzinger's trip to Japan in 1996...
Something that I noticed in Sweden: Cats ignore you in any language. Yet, strangely, cultures around the world persist in naming the little aliens.
I like them. I just realize that the relationship between cats and h. sap. is one of detente, at best.
