Great day on Saturday

It was a busy, busy day... But in a good way.

I got to have two fairly good meals, schmooze at one venue with alumni of my college, and at another with three LJ'ers I hadn't previously met (jeliza, rubylou, and seanmcguire -- all of whom were excellent company), see a play, hear a concert, and generally have a swell time.

My cute meter must've gone up, or something...

I mean, first there was the Saturday night dinner, as mentioned previously.

Suddenly, a lurker has come out of nowhere on Karawynn's Pool saying, "I heart Hal."

And now, at the Kelsey Creek Starbucks, where I frequently go, there's this new shift leader, or something, who's really cute. Today's been a bit cold and blustery, so I've been getting up a lot to close the door. First, she comes over, all twinkly-like, and gives me coupons for two free drinks, "because you've been so nice." Then, when I just tried to cash one in for a caramel macchiato, she tells the cashier, "Oh, don't take that... Just give it to him. He should save it for later, and he's closed the door like, ten times..."

Did I mention she was cute?

At which point, the cashier comes and delivers the drink herself to my table, also all twinkly and come hither, rather than just yelling out my name.

Hmph. Prolly seniors from Sammamish High, twenty years too late.

Of course, if they're from BCC... {amused snort}

OTOH, having been going to Starbucks almost daily for six months because of wireless connectivity, the break on my "Starbucks Tax" is nice...
