NY Prosecutors Are Wimps
Mar. 1st, 2003 12:16 pmSeems Bill Clinton was picked for jury duty.
Normally, you'd think the defense would want a former President to stay away from their client as much as possible, and the Prosecution would want the Chief Executive (Ret.) of the USA to be on the jury.
But, no... Exactly the opposite.
Some choice tidbits:
"The jury selection questionnaires in a case involving a gang shooting were supposed to be confidential, but there was a glaring clue to the identity of Prospective Juror No. 142 in federal court in Manhattan yesterday.
Where it asks for previous jobs held, he filled in President of the United States."
==========
"Judge Buchwald (the trial judge), who was appointed by President Clinton in 1999..."
==========
"Any particular questions on Questionnaire 142 that you want to direct me to?" Judge Buchwald asked the government.
"All of them, judge," a prosecutor, Daniel M. Gitner, said.
