So I was reading today's Financial Times, and they had a leader on Keynes, and how he's getting dusted off as we may be facing a new depression.

I'd done the same thing myself a few days ago, so Keynes' General Theory was sitting on our living room table.

Seemed as good an excuse as any for an instablog picture post.

After reading some of Keyes, do you think is it worth ordering from Amazon? Seriously. I am sure I read excerpts from this when I was in college, before "Nixon’s endorsement was a sign that Keynes’ intellectual stock was about to fall."

As I was just saying...

(because someone commented on the image on the Flickr side)

* I didn't say I'd managed to get to read him. I just had him out -- for the same reason everyone else does, lately: "What did we do last time?"

* I tend to go to primary sources, rather than read secondary interpretations, if possible. Which is why I also have a 2 vol. Progress Publishers copy of Marx' Capital around here somewhere (also unread), and Smith's Wealth of Nations.
