When we visited the Tillamook factory, we picked up some of their garlic white cheddar. I like this a fair bit. Trouble is, I don't know of any place in Seattle to get more. Our local Fred Meyer and Top markets both have other 8 oz. Tillamook specialty cheeses, such as pepper jack, or smoked cheddar, but not this one.

Anyone know a place in town that carries it?

UPDATE: Multiple locations of WinCo appear to have it.

No idea, obviously, but I did post the query to Life in Kent and also the Seattle group, because I do not have enough snark or silence in my life.

Did you ask if they could special order you some? Usually if they're already buying from that supplier it's easy to set up.

No, not yet. Asking the shop is more presumptuous than finding on one's own (even with help), if that makes any sense.

Well, so apparently you can order it online directly from Tillamook, so there's that. No other solid leads, yet, but apparently its been spotted in the past at Costco and Winco, and Metropolitan Market apparently has a very broad cheese selection, and there's one of those in Federal Way.

So Melzah says she's bought it at the Kent Winco, and someone else on the Seattle list says they've seen it at the Marysville Winco, so I'd say an expotition to Winco may be in order.

I've never seen this cheese before, and I'm sure it'd have leapt into my basket at any encounter. Sounds yummy!

Yeah, it was news to us, too, when we spotted it at the company store at Tillamook (as were the Tillamook fudge and Tillamook caramels), but it is, indeed, yummy, and since I really like using it as one of the cheeses in home made mac&cheese, a local source would be good. It seems that the Kent WinCo may be a good lead...
