Memorial Day
May. 26th, 2003 09:08 pmAs to the meaning of the day itself, I think Jim Henley strikes the right note:
Memorial Day - To all those who gave their lives in service to the country, thanks. Additionally, to those whose lives were wasted on the bad decisions and vainglory of some of our rulers, apologies.

Date: 2003-05-28 07:55 pm (UTC)Not unlike jazz, sometimes I'm interesting, and sometimes I ain't. Trouble is, I can't predict which'll be when. Them's the breaks. But thanks.
"Mind divulging how you came across my LJ? Doesn't seem like we have any friends in common..."
You made a comment to Photosexual that I read. I followed the icon, and thought you both looked and sounded interesting.
I'm an amateur photographer myself (sneak a peek at my interests, or go to http://photos.yahoo.com/hbobrien/). I've never worked with models per se, but I keep playing with the idea. Mebbe I'll ask Photosexual if I can hang out with him as an assistant sometime, I dunno.

Date: 2003-05-29 11:51 pm (UTC)No, it was the LJMatch thing. Which I'm seeing more as a way to read more interesting LJs than anything else. (Well, that and a chance to puzzle over their algorithm.)
Although, actually, I just learned something from your profile, which is that zannah has an LJ. I've been reading her various sites for years -- even spotted her at the recent They Might Be Giants concert at the Croc -- so thanks for the info.
But just a case of following my curosity.
