A mixed blessing

So.

So, a while back I posted an entry about Annika Sorenstam. I thought it was pretty good. So I sent it in as a letter to the Seattle Times.

Today, in their Sports section, the letter got printed (it's about halfway down the page).

Well, kinda.

They printed only the last two paragraphs of the letter. And... I guess that's OK, it's not like I don't stand behind them. But relative to the whole piece, I think it distorts more than slightly.

But that's the newspaper bidness for ya.

Hm. Depends. I've had letters printed previously in the LA Weekly, the OC Weekly, and the Financial Times. This is, by far, the most a letter of mine has been cut.

So I know what you mean, it's just a new experience for me. At least to that degree.
