Geeky ways of noticing you're talking to someone a lot:

They get their own e-mail folder. Instead of just being routed to, say, "Livejournal".

True.. I find that for me to make someone their own folder I have to receive about 3+ emails from them. Since I've received 7 from you, you have your own folder. :)

If I can, yes. I've lost the archive once or twice, and the current one goes back to 1995 or 1997, depending on source.

But, heck, e-mail is small.

No, the problem is I'm using web-based services more, and there's rarely a way to back those up locally. The archivist in me thinks this is a shame, but I'll live.
