There are many things to like about it -- 4.3" touch screen, 4G data, GPS, WiFi, Android, multi-tasking, etc. But for the purposes of blogging about it from Flickr, one of the eyebrow raisers is the 8 megapixel camera.
No, it's not just that. 8 megapixels or not, the resolution isn't quite as good as I'd like, as a comparison of this as an image when at "original size" vs either my Lumix ZS1 or Nikon D60 will show. But what the EVO has that they don't is the connectivity -- immediately after you take a picture, you have a "Share" button, one of whose options is Flickr. I uploaded this image to Flickr perhaps 2 seconds after I took it.
That's a powerful change, at least for this shooter.
