I just learned Warren Zevon died yesterday, 7 Sept.
In an interesting coincidence, Ulrika and I were watching the movie Things to Do In Denver When You're Dead yesterday. About the only thing the movie has to do with the song is the title, and they play the song over the very last of the end credits, but hey.
I still think the most timely song Warren ever did was "The Envoy", which though released in 1982 has virtually been the theme song of our time ever since (along with The Blasters' "Common Man"):
But, heck, Warren was also who wrote "our song" -- "Reconsider Me". Which is why I gave Ulrika a particularly geeky present this last birthday of hers... www.reconsiderme.com
